The Trailblazers offer women a chance to experience the great game of ice
hockey. We have a competitive senior C level team, which competes for districts
and ultimately nationals and a recreational senior team, which competes in many
C level tournaments. The senior C level team is a higher commitment level (money
and time) with tryouts typically in August. The recreational senior team has a
more conservative schedule and comes together in September when the season
begins.
Please contact us: We want you to feel welcome on the ice and in the locker room. Let us know you're coming and we'll be sure to look for you and introduce you to everyone. Please email Jake Jacobson- jake7@nc.rr.com
Boring Details: The Trailblazers is a non-profit, women's ice hockey organization that has been around since 1995. Our Board of Directors handles all the paperwork, makes sure all the bills are paid, and generally tries to keep things orderly. The current board members are listed under the contact us. If you have ANY questions about the organization, please email a Board member.
What to Bring/ Need Stuff: Stick, water bottle, jersey, socks, and hockey gear. We practice in full gear- skates, shin guards, pants, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, and helmet.
If you are new to this sport, you might not have everything. NO PROBLEM. Contact Jake Jacobson (jake7@nc.rr.com) and she will bring extra gear for you to borrow.
What to expect: Most players arrive about 30 minutes early. Some of us
are slow dressers and some of us are big talkers- either way, we need the time!
The locker room assignments are listed on the glass door just outside of the
rink.
Cost: As much as we all love hockey, we regret we must charge for this fun. The
good news, though, is your very first practice is FREE! After that, we must pay
the bills…
